2013 Winner

Trey Burke became the first player from the University of Michigan to win the Wooden Award. He helped Michigan earn the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament South Region as the Wolverines advanced to the national championship game for the first time in 20 years, before falling to No. 1 Louisville, 82-76. He led Michigan to a 31-8 record, the third 30-win season in school history and helped the Wolverines go undefeated (13-0) in non-conference play for the first time since 1985-86 and match the program's best start (16-0, 1985-86). He scored his 1,000th career point with a 26-point performance vs. Illinois (Feb. 24), becoming the 47th Wolverine and just the seventh sophomore in program history to reach the milestone. He led the team in scoring, averaging 18.6 points, scoring 727 points and reached double-digit points in 37 of 39 games, hitting the 20-point mark 16 times.
